Don't excuse yourself by saying,
"Look we didn't know."
For God understands all hearts, and He sees you.
He who guards your soul knows you knew.
He will repay all people as their actions deserve.

One Day fundraiser through Delicate Fortress Creations

In the past year, I have seen so much suffering.  I've seen kids not eating for days on end.  I've seen moms struggling to make ends meet and yet they never do.  I've had first hand accounts of story after story that would leave me sleepless some nights. I've held the hands and kissed the cheeks of a woman who would die mere months after meeting her from TB.  My heart is broken for so many and I will do my part whatever that is.

Mother Theresa said it best when she said,
The biggest disease today is NOT leprosy or tuberculosis but rather the feeling of being UNWANTED.
(emphasis mine)

This Thursday, November 15, 2012,  we have a chance to do our part to raise some awareness and to raise funds for our adoption.  I'm cant remember exactly when it was that I learned of Delicate Fortress Creations.  I know it was at least a year ago, but I think it was even longer ago than that.   Talk about purpose driven shopping.  Talk about making a difference in the causes that tug at your very being.  Human Trafficking.  Illiteracy.  Poverty.  If you want to make a difference in a life, shopping through Delicate Fortress Creations is a way to do it.  Karyn, the owner, has a heart to help those who have no voice.  Her desire is to give them a LOUD voice.  To give them HOPE!  To give them a way to make their life better.  The way she does this is through her online store.  You see, She takes their creation, whether it's jewelry, soap, scarf, notebook, blanket, punjammies, or any other item they are willing to make and sells it for them.  So when you buy that item, you are supporting that person who fought to get out of her hell.

The other cool thing about Karyn and Delicate Fortress Creations, is she loves to help people who are trying to raise funds for missions trips and adoptions.  When you sign up for a one day event, 30% of the sales goes towards whatever you are raising funds for.  So that's what we are doing!

On Thursday, November 15, we are excited for this opportunity to  join forces with Delicate Fortress Creations for
ONE DAY ONLY!   We are in the unique position of not only being able to support the many women and children whom make these wonderful items, escape lives of exploitation and poverty, but to also receive 30% of the sales that will go towards our adoption costs - specifically our dossier expenses.  Please use coupon code ENOCH at check out so that we will be credited your purchase.

As many of you know, we tried to start the process to adopt a precious little girl about two years ago.  The doors were promptly closed.  We would try again just a month later to start the process for another precious little girl.  Those doors would  be closed just as quickly.  We were devastated both times.  We would vow at that point to help others in their journey to bring home their sweet treasures as well as to fight the injustices done to those less fortunate.

This past spring, while  preparing to move, the tug to adopt would become overwhelming once again.  While looking at adoption web sites and praying over the children, we would once again find a little one who would tug at our hearts.  As we prayed over him and asked God what to do, the doors started to open for us to bring this little guy, who is a special  needs child,  home. Our move has been completed and the real work has begun as we are working our way towards our home study and are now raising funds for our dossier.

We cannot do this with out your help.  We are asking you to join hands with DFC and us to accomplish two tasks:
1. Support these artisans in changing their lives
2. To help us bring our little guy  home.

Our goal is to raise 10% of our dossier fees or $500 on Nov 15.

So, how can you help us help them?  Well, first of all, the most obvious answer is to purchase something through DFC.   Second, if you will use the coupon code ENOCH at check out, this will ensure that we get credit for your purchase and 30% will go towards our adoption fund.  Third, if you will share this with your friends and family and ask them to do the same.  It's that simple really.   The BONUS!  Christmas shopping done early :)

Thank you in advance for this opportunity to serve the women and children of DFC with your purchases through purpose driven shopping. If you would like to follow our progress on Thursday, you can check out our fb page here

STWTHE,
Laurie
