Don't excuse yourself by saying,
"Look we didn't know."
For God understands all hearts, and He sees you.
He who guards your soul knows you knew.
He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
Proverbs 24:12

I have a whole lot to say and yet the words just won't come. I've started several posts and have saved them until they are just right. Until I can convey what's going on in my heart. My words are inadequate for the emotions rolling around in me. There's pure joy that only the Father can give. There's fear of,"What if it happens again?" There's excitement that can hardly be contained. There's worry of how are we going to do this. There's expectation of things coming to fruition. There's anger of having to this one more time. There's trust in the One who made me. Who's made promises to never leave us or forsake us. I'm learning to trust at a new level. One of the ways God has been teaching me this is by reminding me to thank him for just one thing. One. Something different from the time before. I have found that by my thanking him, it turns into a song of worship to him. So today, I thanked him for a daughter who loves on her friends well. Another, who takes her role as big sister very seriously and laughs a lot with her little brothers. For boys who are boys, rough and gentle all wrapped up into one. A husband who works tirelessly for his family to lead, care and most of all love. For God's mercies in leading me to a product that removes gum, yes gum, from carpets. And no, it was not us. The renters that keep on giving to us 15 months later. For leaks in windows that could be fixed with out calling a glass repair guy. For a simple leak being fixed in the upstairs bathroom. We didn't have to call a plumber, it rerally was a simple fix. (Don't install the silver thing that is to help keep your tub from overflowing upside down. Yea, installers sometimes aren't so bright :-/ ) For flat latex spray paint to cover alcohol messes on popcorn ceilings. Again the renters. For renters who have taught us a lot about extending grace and teaching us to really rely upon God for help and wise decision making. For rain in the desert. What glorious rains we have had. We happen to love the smell of wet dirt. It sounds strange I know, but there's just something comforting about being in the desert and God sending down the rain. Every once in awhile you might get a glimpse of a rainbow as well. A reminder of God's promises to us. Just a few of my thank you's to God today. It has changed my perspective a great deal recently and has opened up the flood gates of heaven. Not exactly the way I was expecting but they are open and we a ready to receive only to be poured back out somewhere else. What about you? Are you in the habit of saying thank you to God for the "simple" things in your life? It really is changing mine. Have an awesome day worshiping God today. STWTHE, Lauurie
