We've been busy doing our medical appointments here. Let's just say I'm tired. I have no idea how people do it with more than six people in their families. My hat goes off to you! We have been running, running, running. The appointments have been fairly uneventful since our kids are so healthy. Thank you Jesus! Have also been so very blessed by the doctors in the clinic who are our primary care physicians! Divine connections by our glorious God! Every. Single. One. Of. Them. Has had some kind of experience with adoption or served in the country or near it we are adopting from! They are aware of the issues we will be possibly facing when we bring our guy home. They are already thinking about possible treatment plans, what referrals may be needed, how to help us get the best care and what special programs are available to us through the army and locally, etc... I also found out my new friends is a special needs teacher who is also homeschooling her children. She has said she will share some info and help me help him adjust if need be. I can use any of her programs and ideas to help him. So excited!
Before the two middle children's appointments yesterday, we had the opportunity to go hang out with our friends at one of the local junior highs to see one of the national geographic traveling maps. It was so much fun. We had the North American map to walk on, learn about national treasures, longitude and latitude, and the different types of landscape. The kids had a great time. So did us moms. It was fun to see where all of the kids had been born, where'd we travelled after each birth, who remembered what about their duty stations, etc... We even asked what their dream place to work, live and do what God has called them to do in their lives. We had everything from serving in places like Russia and India to surfing in Hawaii. I love their imaginations and their I can do anything perspective.
Hoping for a bit of down time this weekend. A cold front has moved in and the temps are dropping so we are excited. Ready to be done with the hot temps. I'm also hoping I will have some time to work on new projects brewing to help being our sweet guy home. Time is not my friend right now when it comes to working on those things. Lots of things seem to be taking precedence over fundraising right now. Remembering that he will provide regardless.
Praying you enjoy your weekend.
STWTHE,
Laurie
