Don't excuse yourself by saying,
"Look we didn't know."
For God understands all hearts, and He sees you.
He who guards your soul knows you knew.
He will repay all people as their actions deserve.

I've been wanting to post

Something. Anything. But the words just won't come. I've been so thankful for so many things and yet still the words won't come. Emotions are raw and running at an all time high. If I didn't know any better, I would think I was pregnant or going through somekind of change- neither of those two are options. Words just fail me right now. There's nothing flowing for me to share what's going on in my heart.

I will say this... If you have not read any of the posts on No Great Joy blog recently. Then I would say go and start with that link. Adeye is opening our eyes to greater things in the plight of the orphan. There are several more prior to that, that have just broken my heart. Last year, when K and I were praying on whether or not we should add to our family a special needs child, God gave me these verses:
Psalm 82

3 Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless;
uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.(D)
4 Rescue the poor and needy;
save them from the power of the wicked.”(E)

Those verses came flooding back to me as I've read Adeye's words and others, on her blog. EVERY. SINGLE. CHILD. DESERVES. A. SAFE. PLACE. A refuge. We need to be doing something. Anything. These children are different. Not less. Just different. They need you and me to bring hope by being the hands and feet of Jesus. They need to know they are not forgotten. That they matter. That they are seen and loved.

Because every mother matters will be opening a safe house for sex trafficked children in Ethiopia this trip. That excites me! To mend the broken hearts and bodies of these girls/ women is so vital. They need to know they are important. The team will be visiting 80 mommas this go round. At least 60 of them have been sponsored. Most of these mommas are making profits in their small business. The team will also be delivering 56 (as of right now) LIVE chickens to families in Azga for added protein and possible income boost. For more info on how you can support go to Because Every Mother Matters. You can also find Because Every Mother Matters on Facebook to get more info as well.

If you haven't read Not A Fan by Kyle Idleman, or The Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer (or the men's version for your hubby), or done the James bibles study Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore - I highly recommend all of them. Each one challenging everything within you.

God is good! Love the orphan and widow and remain unstained by the world is the challenge for today!
STWTHE,
Laurie
