Don't excuse yourself by saying,
"Look we didn't know."
For God understands all hearts, and He sees you.
He who guards your soul knows you knew.
He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
Proverbs 24:12

Wow! What a whirlwind the last several months have been. We packed up one house to move (again) to the house we own. It was (and still is) a mess. Our renters didn't take care of it and there is quit a bit of damage that still needs to be fixed. Slowly but surely it will be done. Since moving back, we have had friends from other parts of the country come and visit. Oh how we loved having you McDanelds! So wish we lived closer so we could do life together. I loved having someone who shared a love for orphans and stopping child s*x trafficking to sit and gab with. Blessed me so much. Now we are dealing with leaks in our roof as well as from what we think, is the upstairs bathroom or ac. Not sure which. Can't get the people who put on our roof, less than two years ago, to give us a call back to come fix it since we are still under warranty. Go figure! The leak from the upstairs, well, we can't get an estimate because they dont know what the issue is. Go figure! Hoping we stay right where we are for awhile. Tired of the moving and irritated bc we won't be able to sale the house if we have to move again as is.

We had been church shopping, umm I mean, hunting and think we have found one that we really like. Funny thing is, it's a predominately Spanish speaking church and we don't know much Spanish at all. It does offer two services - one English speaking and one Spanish speaking. We love it though and love the preaching. Strong, solid,Biblical teachings that hold us accountable from the pulpit as well as call us to action. Something we have been missing for quite some time. We had Vacation Bilbe School last week and had way more kids attend than expected. It was a lot of fun but we are tired. What we thought would be a one week commitment ended up being a three week commitment. It was all good though. Gave us an opportunity to meet some of the folks in the other service and get to know them. My understanding of Spanish is far greater than my ability to speak it. It's fun though because we are learning. We've met some really great people as well. So excited about this next year and seeing where God is taking us and the connections we are making. I have impromptu women's bible study going on in my home every two weeks. Kind of weird but good.

My heart is yearning to go on a missions trip, to love on orphns and of course to adopt. I believe God is telling me now is the time to take action. Stop sitting on the sidelines and move out. I've been prepped as much as I can be prepped for now. Movement on my part is now mandatory. Does anyone have any ideas on some good fundraisers? I'm going to pull out my sewing machine soon and start sewing some new bags. One of two trips I believe God is calling me to is at the beginning of October. So, I don't have much time. Regardless, I believe if God wants me to go, he will provide. Of course, when I purposed in my heart to request info about this trip, that's when all of the leaks started happening in our house. Satan sure wants me worried about money. Today, he's done well in keeping me thinking this way but not for long. I will praise My Daddy today because he's no deadbeat dad. I've already had one of those, this one is much more in love with me than I could ever believe.

Well, tomorrow is bible study day so I must go finish up the house. And my study. Several days behid on it. :( be a blessing as you are a blessing to the ONE who knew you before the foundations of the earth.

STWTHE,
Laurie
